Garage Door Opener Will Not Close Door Light Is Flashing

Once you push this button the light on the garage door opener will flash twice.

If necessary you can close the garage door by pressing and holding the door control push bar until down travel is completed. To unlock your garage door opener push the lock button for 5 seconds. If an object has misaligned your sensor eyes then it breaks the electronic beam preventing the garage door to close properly. If this doesn t fix your problem then the problem is more than likely the safety reversing sensors.

Once you see the double flash press the control button on the remote control. The opener can self diagnose any issues. You ll need to hire a professional to replace the wiring entirely or check to see if the wire disconnected from the opener and reconnect it. Press and hold the wall console button until the garage door is completey closed.

The door will stop and reverse back upwards. If the opener cannot detect that the safety sensors are properly working or connected then the opener lights will flash and the door will refuse to close. Check if the safe t beams red led light is flashing. Four flashes is the most common reason your opener lights may be flashing is because of your sensor eyes being misaligned. Counting the number of times this light flashes will allow you to know the exact fault. The remote control will not work.

At times the garage door opener can malfunction and the garage door will not open or close. If an operational problem exists and the garage door opener will not close the opener can be forced to close.
