2 brace the open door keep the door open a few feet off the ground as this takes the pressure off the door springs. Then take one of your new garage rollers and slide it into its spot on the hinge. Snug up all the nuts and bolts on your garage door track and check for worn parts and replace where needed. If that point is more than four feet or less than three feet above the ground you will need to balance the door.

When the bolts and nuts become loose they can cause your garage door to make a vibrating or rattling noise when you open and close it. Move the garage door up and down until you find a place where the door stays suspended when you let go. Garage door rollers can be purchased from your local hardware store or online. You shouldn t have to loosen or tighten any screws or nuts to change the roller.
