I have a green light on one and yellow on the other liftmaster professional garage door opener.
Garage door sensor yellow not green.
Could this be part of the problem.
This light should always be on unless it is not getting power.
Door will close to about 1 foot remaining and then reverse as if obstructed.
Lights are correct but still reverses when almost closed.
The sensors do not matter here.
Make sure the door is hooked up to the opener.
If not fix this first.

If so how do i correct it.
Does it operate from the wall station and not the remotes.
How garage door sensors work and the color the lights should be.
The garage door sensor yellow light and the green light together create a solid illumination.
However if both lights do turn on operate the garage door with its automatic opener as normal to ensure that the door closes as it should.
They are supposed to be that way.
How do they work.
Nothing is blocking it and i ve cleaned and tried to realign the sensors.
Garage door sensors work using an infrared beam of light.
Noticed one door sensor light is yellow and the other green.
The light is emitted from one side of the garage door to a receiving unit on the other side of the door.
It only comes on when the sending sensor is making the proper connection.
If you do not see a solid illumination or your garage door is not working the problem is most likely due to the sensors being out of line.
If the sending sensor is not working properly the green light on the receiving sensor will remain off.
If your garage door isn t closing you may have a malfunctioning door sensor.
One of my garage door sensors is solid yellow and the other green.
If so re hook it back up.
If it does the sensors are okay and there s a fault with the wiring somewhere.
Run it up and down by hand to see if it runs well and is well balanced.
